Work OrdersThe newsiest version of Work Orders (codenamed Sugoi) utilizes the latest web programming technologies to deliver a rich environment for managing work and tracking time. Work Orders is built upon a clean, functional, customizable UI that uses ASP.NET 2.0 and a SQL Server 2005 backend. Because it is web-based, users can access information such as work orders, driving directions, or tasks items from any location. It has the ability to import information from most versions of QuickBooks and export completed work orders for automatic QuickBooks invoice creation. Feature list includes customer management, hardware/software tracking, product/category management & searching, missed call actions, work order creation, and timesheets. For work orders specifically, features include status updates, tasks, material usage, timesheet integration (enter time one place, one time), driving directions/maps, and changelog tracking (who did what when). For global consistency, many areas share the same indicators and information. This allows easy grouping of important to-do items or reporting. Reports and charts are dynamically created to highlight employee performance and productivity. Employees can be compared to other co-workers to track productivity. To customize the user experience, the home page consists of several mini information windows called “webparts” that allow employees to re-organize their main page. Many other areas of the site “remember” user preferences or allow them to configure how they want information display and different controls to act. Email notification are also used extensively, reminding employees of overdue items, reminders, or new information. ASP.NET 2.0 (VB.NET), SQL Server 2005, r.a.d. controls |
