OneWeigh DisplayThe grain elevator application Agris OneWeigh allows users to send information to remote devices via a serial port connection. Instead of attaching it to a dumb terminal, an intermediary application runs on the computer. Outgoing display prints are intercepted by our program that watches a virtual serial port. When an incoming export is detected, the corresponding fields are matched up to the data and displayed. The data is cleared after a pre-configured delay. The presentation of the information uses a very legible font, attractive color scheme, and vibrant icons. Other features such as always on messages, current weather, current date, and time ticker, build upon the core functionality of the application.
